Slightly deceiving property. No mention of the empty building it faces, that it still smells like grandma’s cigarette smoke-filled house, and is not really that safe. Room door to the outside is not sealed at the bottom and you can see the light from the outside (about 1/4 in gap at bottom of the door). Nice idea in theory, but if you are going to do a refurbishment of an old motel, do it properly- especially when it is hard to find a good place to stay in Hot Springs. This was definitely done cheaply and I wish we had not stayed here. Not worth the money.

The staff was super welcoming and friendly, the view was amazing, and the pool was fun!

We really enjoyed our time at the Hilltop. We were fully prepared when we pulled into the driveway with the contactless check in. The room was everything we expected. Breakfast!!! The amount of detail that Chef April put into each plate was phenomenal. The presentation was spot on. Then you take a bite....perfect. I believe breakfast was the favorite time of our day. Only negative thing was shared thermostats. It would not have been a problem except other travelers were cold and increased the temperature unbeknownst to us and we got really hot. That is no fault of the inn...other than maybe putting the thermostat in a lock box. If we ever head back to Hot Springs, we know where we will stay.
